A synbiotic is a combination of probiotics, beneficial microorganisms that support good health, and prebiotics, fibers that feed the probiotics. How do I give SP Children’s® ProSynbiotic to my child?

Pick a time of day to start SP Children's® ProSynbiotic with your child — you know their routine best. However, for optimal absorption and your convenience, we recommend taking it at mealtime.

Take 1 stick pack from your container and pour it into a cold or room-temperature food or drink, such as smoothies, yogurt, applesauce, oatmeal, or chocolate milk. Stir into food or liquid until it’s fully mixed. Bacteria are fragile, so avoid heat, blenders, and food processors, as these can impact the viability of the probiotics. Enjoy within 30 minutes. SP Children's® ProSynbiotic doesn’t require refrigeration, so feel free to store it on your countertop.

Which probiotics are included, and how many CFUs does the product contain?

Each serving contains 30 billion CFU at the time of manufacture from three clinically-studied probiotic strains:
• Lactobacillus acidophilus DDS-1®
• Bifidobacterium lactis UABLa-12®
• Saccharomyces boulardii

SP Children's® ProSynbiotic relies on non-diluted probiotic concentrates in which the viable microorganisms are present in their original, high-density state without being blended with carriers, fillers, or excipients that would reduce the total concentration of active organisms. The freeze-dried probiotic powders in many children’s probiotic products are diluted concentrates with a lower CFU count and often rely on maltodextrin as a carrier.
